Case 1: Formulation Analysis and R&D Support for Nail Polish Products

Client Background

This client is engaged in the production of nail polish products. The client intended to conduct product analysis to clarify the formulation design logic of peer products, so as to provide technical support for its independent new product R&D.

To perform component and formulation analysis of peer products, and assist the client in independent new product R&D.

We successfully solved the core formulation development challenges for the client. Applied Instruments & Technical Support

In addition to conventional analytical instruments, we applied a rotational viscometer to test the viscosity of the samples, which helped the client easily verify the performance during sample adjustment and compounding. Client Background

This client is a professional manufacturer of fireproof strips. For this project, the client commissioned us to analyze a competitive product from its industry peer. The peer product has stronger market performance: it has a lower selling price, slower resilience, and a slightly higher weight than the client’s product. For fireproof strips, excessively fast resilience will impair application performance, meaning the overall performance of the peer product is superior to that of the client. In addition, the peer adopted malicious price undercutting – every time the client lowers the price of its products, the competitor follows suit with a price cut. For this reason, the client sought to optimize its product formulation to reduce costs and enhance its market competitiveness.

The client’s core requirement was to identify the rubber matrix and plastic blending system used in the competitive product, clarify the performance gap between its own product and the competitor’s product, and ultimately increase its market share through targeted product optimization.

This client is engaged in commercial palm cultivation. The product to be analyzed in this project is a specialized fertilizer for palm planting, which is designed to inhibit the growth of Ganoderma in palm trees. Previously a terminal end-user of this product, the client planned to establish independent in-house production of the product, with the core goal of cutting its production and application costs.
